Can moderators/whoever not have the facility to substitute a take-down image instead rather than just removing it?

It can often make old threads seem a little incoherent with comments referring to a posted picture.  At least if some evidence there was an image there it may make more sense.

Something like this would be cool:

Some forum posts last for months, but pictures posted in reference to topic, go from a portfolio to make way for other new pictures. So the blank space left on forum appertains to thin air....
