The only purestorm spammers that I have replied to have turned out to a complete waste of my time. One didn't log on to PS for a month after sending message asking for shoot (presumably to all photographers in London) The other I wrote back saying I didn't have any current availability but would be interested in the future, what are your rates? No reply So in general having a low reply rate is presumably a good thing as it may deter spammers. |

A single no-show feedback might not put me off a model but I might be inclined to ask for a private reference from that photographer, I've done that a couple of times before. I'm sure some people would lie in that scenario if they had a really bad experience and are still sore about it but the photographers I spoke to were not derrogatory and didn't start ranting, they simply told me the bare facts of the situation and left me to make up my own mind. If it seems to me that the poor feedback reason was fairly forgiveable/understandable AND the model has a good port that really shows off what they can do, I might think they'd be worth the risk and I would probably give them a chance. |
