just wondering what's the best way to tone up as my belly always bloats at shoots..

i'm on medication for IBS but tend to bloat out at shoots (all i have in the morning of a shoot is ham ..then when shooting fruit to give me a pick me up ..

i have been poorly for a while..  so exercise is hard..

i tend to do sit ups with somebody holding my feet as i cant do a full sit up as of osteoporosis..

my bloated belly is getting a bit out of control and i tend to get upset of the way i look (as i look pregnant)

i have had peptic ulcers in my belly before..

help would be much appreciated..

You can't "tone" bloat. You need to work out what's making you bloat and then quite fundamentally not do whatever it is! IBS could be caused by many things, I suggest your doctor for either advice or referal to a specialist.

You also need to see someome about your osteoporosis. It doesn't fundamentally stop you doing a sit up and it IS often curable with a correct excercise program, If you have osteoporosis at your age you should also be on a program for eating and excersise from a specialist anyway.

i struggle to do a sit up because my back hurts a lot and thats where the osteoporosis mainly is as i had a dexter scan ..i have bones of an 80 year old they said when i had my scan..(long story as to why i have osteoporosis)..but your correct i should be on an eating programme by the doctor but to be honest there pretty useless around my area.. i have a calcium tablet with vitamin D ..i try to walk to help my bones..i have a physiotherapist she wants me to buy a product for acupuncture ..

but its the bloating thats bothering me..as i cant shoot with a "pregnant belly" ..so hopefully theres something out there that might help..

Do you think it could be certain foods or drinks that make you bloat? I know you said you only eat ham before the shoot, but maybe there is something else?

Do you drink anything other than water? It could be something like caffeine or fizzy drinks (fizzy drinks give me horrendous acid reflux).

This is not healthy. You could be actually bloating through lack of calories and proper nutrition. Please, don't ask these questions o an internet forum, you must seek proper medical advice. You should also be doing weight bearing exercises to help your osteoporosis, lifting weights and things, but ONLY under professional supervision. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis myself and am back to virtually a healthy state for my age now, so it can be stopped in it's tracks.

You must get professional medical advice for your diet though, that is not enough food and nutrition to sustain your body.

thank you for your help..

i think il book an appointment with the doctor tomorrow..

they dont tend to do enough for me and the lack of care that is given to me is appalling ..

i should have a dietician but this is not provided (i use to have one when i suffered anorexia) but the doctors dont tend to like me focusing on my diet as of anorexia in the past..at one point i weighed 3 and a half stone..
