You can be taught photographic make up in 2 days? That's the fumiest thing I've ever heard sorry lol even Kevyn Aucoin himself wasn't capable of that

I have to agree.  If they're offering to teach you within two days, it's a rip off and waste of time unless you're doing it just to help with applying your own make up.  Are they offering a qualification with this?!  If so, it'll just be an attendance certificate I suspect.  I only did a part time years course at college but I carried on learning whilst working as an assistant and I only really do beauty make up.  For something more specialist, it'll take a lot more time and money!

im on my nvq3 doing media make-up did my nvq 2 last year, and iv not learnt as much as some people would think and thats after doing it for a year and a half at college and doing it in all the free time i have too, i would not advise a 2 day learing corse as i dont think they have much to offer.
and im not sure meny people would use someone with only 2 days traning.
a make-up artist is tyhe job i have wanted to do since i was about 12-13 and i never in a million year knew how hard it would be till i started college.
May be you should look into the colleges around your area see what they have to offer
hope that helped

im not saying that a two day course is all you ever need to be a makeup artist, but its a starting point. yes, from what ive heard it is an accredited course. there are other colleges in the area who do longer courses, but if you wanted a taster without spending a heap of money on the course then a short course may be ideal. i think that a post should be read properly without the assumptions.

Thank you i'll be applying for the course at Thomas Danby as it will give me a good insight and hopefully after that Bradford collage will then take me on, as they wont at the moment because i dont have full beauty theorapy qualifications, so for me it's perfect. Dawn your a Star x thanks everyone for all your info x
