hey
just been flicking through a mag and seen a fab colour in barry m eyeshadows - ive never used these before and just wondered what peoples views on them were? any good for shoots??

Im a fully qualified make up artist and love them..the dazzle powder is amazing..just be careful when applying cause if you dont put a tissue under the eye when applying it can be a big pain to get off the face..

I love Barry M
A LOT of fallout even when you are careful as its a powder but if you do the eyeshadow first and foundation afterwards its going to make it MUCH easier on cleanup.

I have used Barry M dazzle dusts ever since I was training almost 7 yrs ago!!

Amazing colours & you can also get different finishes -

some matte dusts,
some with a shimmer,
some with a fine glitter & others with larger gliiter

one of my faves is actually a very neautral colour - but multi purpose too!

38 - natural beige shimmer - WONDERFUL for highlighting the cheekbones too!

Also the choc brown might be 55???

as well as the emerald green, turqoise & the pinks & deep aubergines are great for blusher!

ALWAYS remember your dazzle dusts are great for more than one area of the face

- mix with clear lipgloss
- Use as highlighters, blushers etc. etc


Defo do all the eye make-up first though!!! - looks like a right mess but then you can build up the colour as you need
& just wipe away with a wet wipe & then do a gorgeous clean foundation.

I used to do the whole tissue under the eye, or loose powder under the eye to stop the fall out going all over your foundation

WASTE OF TIME - the pigments always seep through a little

Eyes first - WIPE -Then foundation - its the way to go!

 
Their Eyeliners are fab too - very soft & high pigments - Also their nail polishes are wicked!!!

To get a stronger colour or to ensure the eyemake up doesnt fall once, crese too much or fade away

PRIME the eye first

many options:

- yea vasaline (but i find this too greasy)
- a cream foundation like kryolan or screen face theatrical/photographic make-ups
- a lotion like sparkle sauce by Pop - fab for the glitter - use for creating a glitter eyeliner too!
- or most brands now do a specific 'Eye primer'
