Hello lovely people!

As you may or may not know, I have been growing my hair for three and a half years. I have decided that I would like to raise some money and to do so I am going to be having my hair clippered off!

I am looking to raise some money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association because I had a friend who died in 2004 from MND.

To donate to the MND Association please visit http://www.justgiving.com/xowie-brandt-gittens

~IF I HAVE RAISED £250 BY 31st OCTOBER 2009 I WILL HAVE THIS DONE AT THE RED LION PUB IN AVEBURY*~ (If someone could bring some clippers, that'd be helpful!)

Any help much appreciated! Please SPREAD THE WORD and thank you so much for your support.

*(Disclaimer: This is dependent on my being able to get to Avebury on that day which, at the moment, isn't certain but I'll try my best to be there! But fear not, I will be going ahead with this, if not at Avebury then in Devon - any clippering volunteers please?)

Thanks again.

(Apologies for posting this in the wrong place to start with!)

Hi all. No forum posts from me in ages, and then when I do I'm after something!

I’m undertaking another charity Fire Walk in aid of the Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind
who do great work to help visually impaired people across the whole of Nottinghamshire.

I’m aiming to raise around £500 and hope you will help by sponsoring me. You can do this on-line
by visiting http://www.justgiving.com/simpixels2009  and click on the “Donate Now” button.

The event is being held in the grounds of Nottingham Castle on November 5th. The Fire Walk itself
starts at 8pm, there will be a fireworks spectacular, fire performers (other than me of course), live
music, food stalls and even an appearance by Robin Hood.

If you want to come along on the night, tickets are £7 for Adults or £5 NUS/OAP concessions.

More info about the event can be found here:
http://www.nrsb.org.uk/index.php/events/details/bonfire_night/

Many thanks,

Simon.

Hi all, >>

I am growing a moustache this year for Movember.  I have decided to put down my razor for one month (November) and help raise awareness and funds for men's health - specifically prostate cancer. >>

What many people don't appreciate is that one man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK, more than 35,000 men will be diagnosed this year and that prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the lace w:st="on">UKlace>.  Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved and I am hoping that you will support me. >>

To donate to my Mo, you can either: >>

*    Click this link http://uk.movember.com/mospace/72898/ and donate online using your credit card, debit card or PayPal account>>

*    Write a cheque payable to The Prostate Cancer Charity - Movember, referencing my Registration Number 72898 and mailing it to: Movember - The Prostate Cancer Charity, First Floor, Cambridge House, Cambridge Grove, lace w:st="on">London, ostalcode w:st="on">W6 0LEostalcode>lace>.>>

Movember is now in its third year here in the lace w:st="on">UKlace>  and, to date, has achieved some pretty amazing results by working alongside The Prostate Cancer Charity.  Check out further details at: http://uk.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs.>>

If you are interested in following the progress of my Mo, click here http://uk.movember.com/mospace/72898/. Also, http://uk.movember.com has heaps of useful information. >>

Thank you >>

Hey
On Sunday the 4th of April at 7.30pm
I am doing a sponsored cold baked bean bath for Macmillan cancer care.
I will be sitting in the bath full of beans for two hours.

I am doing this because my step mum is very I'll, fighting lung cancer. It is a very hard time for my family but the support recieved from the Macmillan nurses has been nothing short of amazing. They are on hand 24/7 for both medical and emotional support, they think of every little thing to make the whole proccess that little bit easier. I wanted te opportunity to show my gratitude and raise some money for this very worthy cause.

You can sponsor me online where the money goes directly to Macmillan here:
http://www.justgiving.com/gypsy-Rhodes

I am very grateful for any donation no matter what the amount, every bit helps.
A photographer is coming along to take pictures for the Macmillan website, will put some up after the event.
Thanks everyone xxx
